Writing Bengali numbers

Bengali (Bangla) numbers below 100 have established individual spellings: 21 is একুশ and 56 is ছাপ্পান্ন. This page uses Bangladesh-oriented formal standalone cardinals, including বিশ for 20 and শত for hundreds. Other regional or spoken forms exist.

Read nonzero components from largest to smallest: হাজার (1000), লক্ষ (100000) and কোটি (10000000). For larger values, spell the coefficient before কোটি; 1000000000000 is এক লক্ষ কোটি. In একশত, শত joins the coefficient; scale words such as লক্ষ stay separate.

Enter Western digits or Bengali digits ০১২৩৪৫৬৭৮৯. Valid Indian commas (12,34,567) and international commas (1,234,567) represent the same whole number. This converter supports nonnegative integers only, without adding currency or noun endings. Clean number pages include a learning card and two-way practice using the same selected spelling.
